Mortar is calculated based on wall surface area, joint thickness (typically 3/8" for CMU, 3/8" or 1/2" for brick), and industry-standard coverage rates per bag of mortar mix. We include waste allowances in the final count.

Are lintels and bond beams included in masonry estimates?expand_more

Yes. We quantify all lintel blocks and loose steel lintels at door and window openings, horizontal bond beam courses at specified vertical intervals, and all associated reinforcing steel within those elements.
